2012 Benefit Trial at Hunter's Point
Hello Wisconsin NSTRA members:
I hope that you are having a great new year with your family and loved ones. I’ve been waiting for it to cool down – my dogs are not accustomed to this southern style winter weather. The great thing about this winter is that there should be no excuse that we didn’t have good field conditions to work our dogs. As we prepare for this upcoming trialing year, I would like to wish everyone fun and success – let’s make it a great one!
That is why I am writing to you today. I need your help. As you already know, the Wisconsin NSTRA Region will be hosting a benefit trial May 19-20 at Hunter’s Point. The best part of this trial is that the more participation we have from you - the members – the more we can rebuild our account.
The members of our region have so many talents that can be shared to make this a very successful trial event. But, what we need is for you to come forward and volunteer those talents. Attached is a list of different volunteer opportunities where you can put your talents to use.
I will be talking to each and every one of you soon to find out how you would like to help make this trial a success. When the day is done, we all can say, we did it together as a region!

Officers, Directors Board Meeting held Saturday Jan. 28th
Wisconsin Region Members;
At the Officers, Directors Board Meeting held on Saturday Jan. 28th there were several changes made to the 2012 Region Elimination Trial. The following changes were made for financial reasons, to try to make the Region Trial more self supporting. Entry fee for 1st dog of an owner $75.00 and any additional dogs of that owner $50.00. Awards: Champion - Choice of Belt Buckle or Coat/Vest. 1st runner-up thru 3rd runner-up Choice of trophy/plaque or coat/vest. There will be no award for High Point Dog for 2012. | Congratulations to Clark Willams and Copper.
Clark and Copper took on the 2011 Dog of the Year trail in Amo, IN at the end of October and finished strong with an over all 3rd place finish, just missing the head to head final run. They also took a 2nd place finish on their Friday run.
